Each player starts with four cards. There are three rounds of community cards dealt face up, the players can only use three cards from the board and two of their hole cards to win. You are not playing against the dealer, but against the other players. Each new hand begins with a small blind, big blind, and a round of betting. The game allows a total of three raises per round with the exception of a game that finishes head up. Once the first round of betting is complete, the dealer then puts out the first three community cards or “the flop”. After the second round of betting. The dealer then puts out the fourth community card or “the turn”. There is another round of betting. The dealer then puts out the fifth community card or “the river”. There is a final round of betting. After the last round of betting, the dealer will award the pot to the best hand.
