How to play Texas Hold'em Bonus Poker

Players play their best five-card poker hand against the dealer's best five-card poker hand.

Two cards are dealt to each player and to the dealer. Five community cards are dealt face up in the center of the table for the players and dealer to use in any combination (3,4 or all of the 5 community cards may be used) to make the highest possible ranking five-card poker hand.

Players may also make a Bonus wager that qualifies their first two cards for a bonus payout against a Bonus Pay Table. Folded hands will always forfeit the Bonus wager and winning Bonus bets will be paid regardless of the outcome of the five-card poker hand showdown.

  1. Prior to receiving their first two cards, each player must make an Ante wager within the posted table limits.  An optional Bonus wager may also be placed at this time.
  2. After each player has had the opportunity to view their first two cards, they have the option to either continue playing the hand by placing a Flop wager that is equal to 2 times their Ante wager, or folding their hand and forfeiting their Ante wager and optional Bonus wager.
  3. For players who are still in the hand, the dealer will turn three cards face up in the Flop area in the center of the table.  The remaining players now have the option to either place a Turn wager equal in amount to their Ante wager, or elect not to place an additional wager “check.”  Players who elect not to place a Turn wager are still active in the hand.
  4. The dealer will then turn one card face up in the Turn area in the center of the table.  Players now have the option to either place a River wager equal in amount to their Ante wager, or elect not to place an additional wager “check.”  Players who elect not to place a River wager are still active in the hand.
  5. The dealer then exposes their two cards and uses the five community cards face up in the center of the table with their two cards to set their best five-card poker hand.
  6. The dealer then exposes each player's two down cards, one player at a time.
    1. For players who have placed an optional Bonus wager, the dealer will take, or pay the Bonus bet against the posted Pay table.
    2. Using the player's two down cards and the five community cards, the dealer will set the player's best five-card poker hand.
  7. There is now a showdown between the dealer and the player with the best five-card poker hand winning.
    1. If the player's hand outranks the dealer's hand;
      1. The Flop bet is paid even money (1 to 1).
      2. The Turn bet, if applicable, is paid even money (1 to 1).
      3. The River bet, if applicable, is paid even money (1 to 1).
      4. The Ante bet is paid even money (1 to 1) if the winning hand is a Straight, or better.  If the winning hand is lower than a Straight, the Ante bet is a push (tie).
    2. If the dealer's hand outranks the players hand;
      1. The Flop bet, the Turn bet (if applicable), the River bet (if applicable) and the Ante bet all lose.
    3. If the dealer's hand and the player's hand is a tie;
      1. All bets are a push (tie), and returned to the player.
